"September 30, 2023 - The School of Public Health, Walailak University organized the TCAS67 round of Portfolio 1.1 interviews in the Hua Ta Pan Conference Room at the Chulabhorn Vejchawat Building, Walailak Hospital. Over 200 applicants participated in the interviews, accompanied by their parents and guardians who were full of hope and support for their next educational step. The welcoming activities set a warm tone for the day, starting with performances by cheerleaders and a procession that included the portrait of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, revered as the father of modern medicine and public health in Thailand. This procession, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supabhorn Yimthiang, acting Dean of the School of Public Health, deeply impressed the participants. Fun activities and light-hearted Q&A sessions were designed to ease the applicants’ nerves before the intensive interviews. The event concluded with heartfelt welcoming remarks from the acting Dean and faculty members. This interview session was not just a competition for coveted spots in the faculty but also an occasion to instill the values and consciousness necessary for future public health service providers. It served to inspire the students to learn and work towards their future in the field."
