Mahidol University’s Public Health Faculty Visits Walailak University to Explore Primary Healthcare Services

29 April 2024, Faculty members from the Master of Public Health program at Mahidol University's Faculty of Public Health recently visited the School of Public Health at Walailak University. The visit was focused on gaining insights into primary healthcare services, with an emphasis on community health and healthcare management in tourism areas. During the visit, the team had the opportunity to exchange knowledge with staff from two local health promotion hospitals: Ban Han Health Promotion Hospital and Ban Tha Kwai Health Promotion Hospital. The discussions centered around various strategies for delivering effective primary healthcare services and supporting health initiatives in the local communities. Additionally, the visit included an exploration of community health management strategies in tourism areas within Phrom Khiri and Lan Saka districts in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The discussions highlighted the unique health challenges and opportunities that these regions face, particularly in the context of their tourism industry. This visit underscores the importance of collaboration between institutions in advancing public health initiatives and developing comprehensive healthcare strategies.
