Walailak and Mahidol Public Health Schools Exchange Expertise in Education, Research and Health Sciences Laboratories

On 20 November 2025, the School of Public Health, Walailak University, welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Sara Arphorn and delegates from the Department of Occupational Health and Safety, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, for an academic visit focused on education, research and public health practice. The delegation was welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Supabhorn Yimthiang, Dean of the School of Public Health, together with members of the School’s executive team at the Chulabhorn Vejchawat Building, Walailak University Medical Center. The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange experiences in academic management, teaching and research, particularly in occupational health and safety. During the visit, the Mahidol University delegation toured Walailak University’s health sciences laboratories as well as laboratories within the School of Public Health. The visit included discussions on laboratory management, teaching facilities and equipment, and the use of laboratory resources to support student learning and research. The academic visit brought faculty members and administrators from the two public health schools together to share approaches and identify areas of common interest, providing a foundation for further collaboration in public health education and research.
