Wageningen University Collaborates with Walailak University in the “Reinventing University” Project

On July 2, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Ronald Hutjes from Wageningen University in the Netherlands visited Walailak University, marking a significant milestone in the ""Reinventing University"" initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. This initiative aims to transform educational practices and foster international collaboration. During his visit, Dr. Hutjes met with the president of Walailak University to discuss strategies for enhancing research capabilities, conducting specialized workshops, and developing innovative teaching and learning methods. The discussions focused on leveraging Wageningen University's expertise in environmental sciences and sustainable development, aligning with Walailak University's strengths and strategic goals. The visit also explored opportunities for joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, and the introduction of cutting-edge pedagogical techniques. This collaboration is expected to elevate the academic and research standards of both institutions, providing a platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices.
