School of Public Health Welcomes New Students with Orientation Event
On May 31, 2024, Walailak University's School of Public Health welcomed the parents of new students to the ""A Bright Start with Parental Support"" orientation event held in Room 5301 of Building 5. The program began with a welcoming speech and the school's anthem performance. Asst.Prof.Dr. Supabhorn Yimthiang, Dean of the School of Public Health, then discussed the school’s educational goals, student achievements, and the support systems aimed at ensuring student success and well-being. Following this, Asst.Prof. Dr. Janjira Mahaboon, the Deputy Dean, spoke about strategies for adjusting to university life, emphasizing the critical roles of both the school and parents. The session also introduced the first-year advisors and the support team consisting of Junior Helpers and Master Trainers, who assist with emotional and academic guidance. The orientation concluded with a Q&A session, allowing parents to ask questions that could help students navigate their university life more effectively. The event was well-received by both students and parents, fostering a supportive academic community from the start.
