Walailak University Public Health Students Win International Academic Awards!

"The lecturer team and students from the School of Public Health, Walailak University, attended The 4th Inter-Institutional Public Health Conference “Innovation and Research Enhanced Driving Well-Being in Society” at Mahidol University, Nakhonsawan Campus, on May 9, 2024. During this event, our students showcased their academic potential and won numerous awards: Ms. Ariya Thongkam and Ms. Rattanaphan Chueapetch won the first prize in the Advancing in Community Strengthening category. They presented their research on “The Relationship Between Demographic Factors, Health Literacy, Social Support, and Blood Sugar Control Behaviors of Type 2 Diabetic Patients in Sao Phao Subdistrict, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.” Ms. Kwanthawan Sani, Ms. Afifah Maming, and Ms. Hanifah Yae won an award in the Advancing in Public Health Innovation category. They presented their research on “The Study of the Relationship Between Health Literacy in Weight Control and Body Mass Index of Health Science Students at a University in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.” Ms. Chanakorn Kalya and Ms. Praphaphan Pimnoi won an award in the Advancing in Good Health and Well-being category. They presented their research on “The Relationship Between Personal Factors, Perceptions, Attitudes, and Behaviors Towards E-cigarette Smoking Among Lower Secondary School Students in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand.” Ms. Thanyawan Kesarin and Ms. Nataya Babi won an award in the Advancing in Good Health and Well-being category. They presented their research on “Preparation for Entering a Potential Aging Society of Personnel in a Public University in Southern Thailand.” The school extends heartfelt congratulations to all the students who participated and received awards.
