OHSEC WU
Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Service Center, Walailak University
1. Background and Significance of the Service Unit
The enforcement of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Work Environment Act B.E. 2554 (2011) and other related legislation has led businesses to enhance and align their operations with legal requirements. This includes appointing safety officers, establishing safety committees, and conducting annual work environment assessments.
Recognizing this importance, Walailak University, through its Occupational Health and Safety program (established in 1999), founded the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Service Center (OHSEC-WU). The center aims to support the university’s mission of providing academic services to society while promoting occupational health, safety, and environmental operations in workplaces. This is achieved through a strong foundation of academic knowledge, skilled and experienced personnel, and effective equipment for monitoring and analyzing samples.
