Walailak Public Health Faculty Contributes Occupational Safety Expertise to Royal Thai Air Force Training

On 29 April 2026, the Directorate of Safety, Royal Thai Air Force, conducted its Ground Safety Training Course to strengthen personnel knowledge in occupational safety and accident prevention. Assistant Professor Dr. Mujalin Intaramuean and Assistant Professor Dr. Siriporn Dankachatharn from the School of Public Health, Walailak University, were invited as guest lecturers. The training was conducted under the supervision of Air Vice Marshal Apichart Boonpetch, Director of the Directorate of Safety, Royal Thai Air Force. The course covered key areas of workplace safety, including safety legislation, safety management systems, and proactive accident prevention. Academic principles were linked with operational settings and workplace scenarios, enabling participants to apply the knowledge to risk assessment, preventive measures, and safety management in their day-to-day duties. The participation of the two faculty members extends the School of Public Health’s expertise in occupational health and safety beyond the university setting. It also provides an opportunity for academic specialists to work directly with external organizations in developing personnel who operate in diverse and potentially high-risk working environments. Effective safety management goes beyond compliance with rules and regulations. It depends on the ability of personnel to recognize hazards, anticipate and manage risks before incidents occur, and make safety part of everyday work. These practices form the foundation of a strong and sustainable organizational safety culture.
