PHWU Junior Helper: Students Lead Community Mental Health Workshop

On June 26, 2025, a team of student leaders from the PHWU Junior Helper group, School of Public Health co-organized a workshop aimed at strengthening community mental health. The workshop targeted health leaders from the Baan Ton Liap Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital. This initiative is a part of the "Walailak Health Model: Restoring Quality of Life and Fostering Sustainable Well-being in Surrounding Areas" project, spearheaded by the School of Public Health in collaboration with Walailak University's Center for Academic Services. The workshop was designed to impart knowledge and skills in mental health promotion to community health leaders, who will serve as a vital force in effectively caring for and assisting residents in their local areas. The project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting youth participation in community development and reinforces the school's mission, which is guided by the belief that "the happiness of the community is our duty."
