PHWU Students Win 1st Runner-Up for Creative Poster at National Public Health Competition The School of Public Health, Walailak University extends heartfelt congratulations to our Bachelor of Public Health Science students, majoring in Occupational Health and Safety, for winning the 1st Runner-Up Award in the Creative Poster Competition under the theme “Protecting Thai Youth from E-Cigarettes” at the 40th Public Health Academic Event — Rojanakorn Games, held at Mahasarakham University from February 1–2, 2025. Award-Winning Students: Ms. Tippawan Mongmat Mr. Nanthaphong Phianchat Ms. Rujigorn Nualmee The student team impressed the judges with a hand-drawn poster that communicates the health risks of e-cigarettes to youth in a visually engaging and educational manner. Their artwork effectively conveyed scientific content using vibrant, accessible graphics and well-structured messages, focusing on the toxic substances found in e-cigarettes, such as nicotine, PM2.5, and heavy metals. The poster also illustrated potential health impacts including EVALI (e-cigarette or vaping-associated lung injury), cardiovascular issues, and neurological risks. In addition to the academic accuracy of the content, the judging panel commended the team’s originality in manually illustrating the entire poster, blending artistic talent with health literacy to raise awareness among adolescents. This achievement highlights the students’ ability to design impactful health communication tools and reflects the School’s commitment to cultivating graduates who possess not only academic excellence but also creativity and public engagement skills. Once again, the School of Public Health, Walailak University proudly congratulates Ms. Tippawan Mongmat, Mr. Nanthaphong Phianchat, and Ms. Rujigorn Nualmee for this outstanding accomplishment and wishes them continued success in their journey toward becoming leaders in public health.
