PHWU’s Community Practice Uniform Ceremony Fosters Professional Pride and Responsibility
PHWU Hosts Community Practice Uniform Ceremony for Occupational Health Students On January 8, 2024, the School of Public Health, Walailak University (PHWU), hosted the Community Practice Uniform Ceremony for 25th cohort third-year Occupational Health and Safety students at Phattharathammaphorn Hall, Walailak University Medical Center. The ceremony aimed to instill a sense of responsibility, professional ethics, and pride among students as they prepare for real-world practice. Asst. Prof. Dr. Supabhorn Yimthiang, Dean of PHWU, presided over the ceremony, presenting uniforms to students and emphasizing the importance of practical experience in community settings. Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeda Sansakorn, Head of the Occupational Health program, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of a solid start in professional life, using the metaphor, “The first button on your uniform sets the course for success.” PHWU remains committed to developing competent, ethical public health professionals ready to serve communities with excellence and integrity.
