Walailak University’s Occupational Health and Safety Program Engages in Key Meeting on Future Safety Directions in Southern Thailand
On June 4, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeda Sansakorn, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Walailak University, alongside Dr. Muhammad Awais-E-Yazdan, participated in a pivotal meeting with the Institute for the Promotion of Occupational Safety, Health, and Work Environment (Public Organization). The meeting, held at the Panan Conference Room, Buri Sriphu Hotel in Hat Yai, Songkhla, focused on the theme ""The Future Direction of Occupational Safety, Health, and Work Environment in Southern Thailand."" The conference gathered a diverse network of safety experts, including representatives from government agencies, associations, clubs, enterprises, hospitals, and universities within Songkhla Province. The discussions aimed at charting a strategic course for enhancing occupational health and safety practices in the region. This significant gathering underscored the collective commitment of all stakeholders to advancing occupational health and safety, ensuring that workers in southern Thailand are protected and their work environments are continually improved. The outcomes of this meeting are expected to drive forward-thinking policies and practices that will benefit the entire region.
