School of Public Health Hosts Wai Kru Ceremony and Happy World Teacher Day

On June 27, 2024 at Thai Buri Auditorium, the PHWU Student Union School of Public Health organized the Wai Kru Ceremony and ""Happy World Teacher Day"" to honor the dedication and hard work of their professors. The event was graced by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Warit Jawjit, Acting Vice President, who led the lighting of incense and candles in reverence to the Triple Gem. Following this, the student union representatives led the chanting and recitation of the Wai Kru prayer. Representatives from each class year then presented traditional flower and incense offerings to all the professors, completing the ceremonial Buddhist rituals in a beautifully traditional Thai setting. The event continued with the ""Happy World Teacher Day"" activities, where students from various nationalities and religions expressed their gratitude by presenting flowers, cards, or tokens of appreciation to their professors, who, in return, gave their blessings. The atmosphere was warm and heartfelt, culminating in a communal singing of the song ""Phra Khun Tee Sam"" by all the students. Additionally, the event included the presentation of honorary plaques to past members of the student union and certificates of excellence to students who had outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements over the past year. These recognitions aimed to inspire other students to follow in their exemplary footsteps.
