Program coordinator’s Message

       Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science Program in Health, Environment, and Safety revision 2022, formerly known as the Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science Program in Environmental Technology, Safety and Health. This program is created to link the concepts between health, environment and safety. In order to produce graduates with expertise in integrated science that can apply knowledge in the sciences to keep up with innovation and protect the environment and human health.

Outstanding Program Highlights
       Graduate program that integrates the sciences of health, environment and safety. It is a key science in driving sustainable development goals at national and international levels. The highlight of the program in terms of academics can be regarded as a program that can provide academics with knowledge and competence in integrating the principles of health, environment and safety, health promotion and disease prevention. This program offers cutting-edge courses and content adapted to the changing dynamics of health, environment and safety.

       The teaching and learning process focuses on Walailak University’s educational philosophy, which is “Academic Excellence with Professional Skills” to improve student quality. To focus on promoting in-depth learning, this program uses a learning process that emphasizes the role and participation of learners (Active Learning) by using real problem situations in the area. Moreover, there are lecturers who have specific expertise related to the course content in health, environment and safety. The program is conducted in Thai and English that support both Thai and foreign students.

       There are international networks with collaborative universities that have academic cooperation with faculty members in Schools of Public Health such as South Korea, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Hokkaido University, Japan, etc., which can facilitate student mobility programs, conduct research for thesis and/or invite professors to be co-advisors and special lecturers in the form of visiting professors, which will support teaching and learning of the curriculum on an international level.
